About the Role
We are hiring an experienced SAP RFNO / IS-OIL Downstream Consultant to support a Phase 0 (Gap Analysis) for a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation within the downstream fuel retail industry.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in SAP RFNO, SAP IS-OIL Downstream, fuel retail operations, and SAP S/4HANA, with proven experience conducting Fit-to-Standard and Gap Analysis workshops. The consultant will assess business requirements, evaluate SAP standard capabilities, identify solution gaps, and contribute to the overall solution architecture and implementation roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
Fit-to-Standard & Gap Analysis
• Conduct Fit-to-Standard and Gap Analysis workshops with business and technical stakeholders
• Analyze and document business requirements across downstream fuel retail processes
• Map business requirements to standard SAP RFNO functionality
• Identify and classify solution gaps as standard functionality, configuration, enhancement, or integration requirements
• Evaluate SAP standard capabilities and recommend appropriate solution approaches
Solution Design & Architecture
• Contribute to SAP S/4HANA solution architecture and implementation strategy
• Provide functional recommendations based on SAP RFNO / IS-OIL Downstream capabilities
• Support development of the implementation roadmap and transition approach
• Identify dependencies, project risks, and potential mitigation strategies
• Assess integration requirements with external systems and downstream retail platforms
Documentation & Stakeholder Management
• Prepare clear, structured, and client-ready functional documentation
• Present analysis findings, recommendations, and solution options to stakeholders
• Facilitate workshops and effectively communicate complex SAP concepts to business users
• Collaborate with business, functional, technical, and project teams throughout the assessment
• Provide expert guidance and recommendations to support transformation decisions
Required Skills & Experience
• 10+ years of SAP consulting experience
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP RFNO or closely related SAP IS-OIL Downstream solutions
• Experience working with fuel retail and service station networks
• Strong knowledge of SAP RFNO, S4SCSD, OGSD, or Secondary Distribution
• Proven experience in Fit-Gap Analysis, solution assessment, and functional solution design
• Experience facilitating business and technical workshops
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong documentation and presentation skills
• Fluent English communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with Implico solutions
• Knowledge of POS and forecourt system integrations
• Experience with SAP FI integration
• Knowledge of fuel card management and processing
• Experience with pricing, dealer/lessee settlement, inventory management, and replenishment processes
• Experience working on SAP S/4HANA transformation programs
• GCC or international project experience will be an advantage
• Candidates available to join immediately or on short notice will be preferred
