SRE / Infrastructure DevOps Engineer

About the Role

We are hiring an experienced SRE / Infrastructure DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, automate, and manage secure and scalable cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure cloud services, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps automation, CI/CD pipelines, cloud security, monitoring, and infrastructure reliability.

The successful candidate will work closely with architecture, security, development, and operations teams to build highly available cloud-native environments, improve operational efficiency through automation, and ensure reliable and secure platform performance.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure & Azure

• Design, deploy, configure, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure
• Implement and maintain cloud-native architectures following Azure best practices
• Support and manage Azure PaaS services including App Services, Function Apps, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Storage Accounts, and Azure SQL
• Configure and manage Azure policies to ensure compliance, governance, and standardized cloud operations
• Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, capacity, and reliability across Azure environments

Infrastructure as Code & Automation

• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and operational processes
• Drive cloud automation initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability, consistency, and platform reliability
• Develop and maintain scripts and automation solutions using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or GoLang

DevOps & CI/CD

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps
• Automate build, deployment, testing, and release processes across cloud environments
• Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment automation and DevOps practices
• Implement reliable deployment strategies and support continuous delivery initiatives

Security & Governance

• Implement Azure security best practices across cloud infrastructure and services
• Configure and manage Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Managed Identities, Private Endpoints, and Azure Key Vault
• Review and implement Azure Security Center/Defender recommendations to improve security posture
• Support cloud security, governance, and compliance requirements
• Collaborate with security teams to implement secure and compliant cloud architectures

Monitoring & Site Reliability

• Monitor and troubleshoot Azure cloud environments using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and Microsoft Sentinel
• Investigate infrastructure and application incidents and implement effective root-cause solutions
• Improve system availability, reliability, performance, and operational resilience
• Support incident response, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of production environments

Collaboration & Documentation

• Collaborate with architecture, security, development, and operations teams to deliver scalable and secure cloud solutions
• Document technical architectures, infrastructure designs, operational procedures, and implementation guidelines
• Promote an automation-first culture and contribute to continuous improvement and innovation
• Take ownership of infrastructure reliability, operational excellence, and cloud platform improvements

Required Skills

5–8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering
3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and cloud-native architectures
• Good understanding of Azure Policies, governance, and cloud resource management
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep
• Experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, GoLang, Bash, or Python
• Experience with Azure security concepts including RBAC, Managed Identities, Private Endpoints, Key Vault, and security recommendations
• Knowledge of cloud security and compliance frameworks
• Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and cloud troubleshooting
• Knowledge of Azure PaaS services including App Services, Function Apps, AKS, Storage Accounts, and Azure SQL
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Knowledge of C#/.NET will be an added advantage
• Relevant Azure certifications are preferred, including:
AZ-104 – Azure Administrator Associate
AZ-305 – Azure Solutions Architect Expert
AZ-400 – DevOps Engineer Expert
AZ-500 – Azure Security Engineer Associate
• Experience managing enterprise-scale Azure infrastructure and cloud migration projects
• Strong automation-first mindset with a focus on reliability and operational excellence
• Candidates available to join immediately or on short notice will be preferred
